Growth - Track #5 Drums

Meshuggah - "I" Cover:    • Meshuggah - "I" Drum Cover   Owen McKinley drumming to the original song "Track #5" by Growth (Owen & Paul McKinley). More often than not, this song and its coda (   • Growth - Track #10  ) are two of my favorites from me and my brother's 2012 session. I was happy with Paul's work on both songs. I thought that his writing was good, and I also thought that he recorded both tracks with the right intonation and feel. Similar to Track #3, I initially struggled when trying to come up with some appropriate drum parts. But unlike Track #3, I realized that there was no place for the drum kit in this song. Hand drums seemed to be the best choice for the entire piece. As always, thank you to my cousin, Mike Pappas, for letting me borrow his video camera. © Growth - 2012, '13, & '14
