Today, I visited the Taliban Cemetery in Kandahar, Afghanistan, located in the area historically known as Sufi Sahib Dashta, now commonly referred to as Loy Wiala. This is a large area where many people live. The cemetery is a specific burial site within this area. According to local accounts, students of religious schools who were travelers, had no family or relatives to care for them, or were unclaimed after death were buried here.
