Prelude D minor - Ciurlionis - ABRSM Piano Grade 7 - 2027 & 2028 - List B1 - with score

ABRSM Grade 7 Piano 2027 & 2028 – Prelude in D minor – M. K. Čiurlionis – List B1 Listen to Prelude in D minor by Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis, featured on the ABRSM Grade 7 Piano 2027 & 2028 syllabus, List B1. This brooding and atmospheric Prelude by Lithuanian composer Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis combines a lyrical melody with a rich chordal accompaniment. A fast, rippling ascending motive creates a striking contrast with the slow-moving, hauntingly beautiful melody that follows. The video is filmed from above the keyboard with the sheet music/score clearly visible, making it useful for pianists studying the piece and preparing for their ABRSM Grade 7 Piano exam. Following the score alongside the performance can help with understanding the musical structure, phrasing, articulation and interpretation of this fascinating work. 🎹 Piece: Prelude in D minor 🎼 Composer: Mikalojus Konstantinas Čiurlionis 📚 ABRSM: Grade 7 Piano – 2027 & 2028 syllabus 📖 List: B1 🎹 Piano: Yamaha G2 Grand Piano 🎼 Performer: Salome Wepener Please like and subscribe to be notified of any new videos.
