Where have I been? What have I been up to? Well...let's give the sim some upgrades!

What's going on, YouTube friends?!? I know it's been a while since you've seen anything new from me, whether it's scenery or even a flight. It's been a busy last few months taking care of my step-kids full time now, but after they've gone to bed...what have the last few months secretly had in store? Well... I've spent the last several months teaching myself CAD, Computer Aided Design, using a few different 'freeware' programs. FeeeCAD is one of them. I would then take those designs and convert them into something I could '3D Print'...another new dabble. I've printed signs, statues, figurines, etc. It was a learning experience with my Bambu P2S. I did all of that so that I could retire several of my decade old, falling apart wooden components and do this... ...design and produce 'Cessna 172 travel' seat frames and slides. ...design and produce a rigid glareshield (great for the compass to have a solid surface to sit on!). ...design and produce a new pedestal. ...create a whole new 1/4" thick 3D printed panel with clearances better than I can even fathom with a hand drill and jig saw. ...recess Hobbs for aesthetics. ...evenly distribute the steam gauges and instruments. ...ensure yoke shafts are exactly centered in the panel overlays. ...have proper wire relief channels. ...have a very accurate fit of all componts.
