fan exit grill - caustic (EP)

This EP has been in the works since before I even released anything as fan exit grill, and most of these songs were written during or even before the self titled EP. I have tried finishing this project two times, first in late 2024, then again a year later in late 2025--so third times the charm lol. I decided to go in a more heavier direction with caustic, which was partially the cause of the delays. Overall I am happy with how this turned out, it is fun to bridge out into new styles once and a while. I have been obsessed with light caustics (the thing on the cover), which are the rainbow patterns caused when light refracts through different mediums like glass and water. Caustic can also mean something damaging and corrosive, and the dichotomy of the to meanings is very interesting. Something that looks so beautiful can also mean something so harsh--and a lot of the themes on this ep kind of reflect that idea.
