In this installment of Bituminous Kole, I returned to Loda, Illinois and nearby Paxton to watch trains, and to revisit the small town where I lived for about a year in 1971, as a little boy. There are reminders of the Illinois Central there! The trains are Canadian National and Amtrak's supported trains. I caught a CN manifest, and the Saluki train, out and back. This footage wasn't enough for a show, so I visited my pal Fruminuous, at his business park in Valparaiso, where CN trains run frequently on the ex-Grand Trunk line there. To test my nerves and fear of heights, I shot trains from the rooftops. The trains were great, and my fears are intact. Ha! Anyhow, let's go TO THE TRAINS! 0:00:00 Intro 0:00:50 Amtrak Train 391, Saluki, Illinois Service, Southbound, Paxton Illinois 0:02:59 Canadian National Manifest Train, Northbound, Loda Illinois 0:06:26 Amtrak Train 390, Returning Saluki, Illinois Service, Northbound, Loda Illinois 0:07:26 A Look Around at the Illinois Central Historical Society, ex-Nickel Plate Station, Paxton IL 0:11:39 Canadian National Manifest Train, Westbound, Valparaiso Indiana 0:15:29 Canadian National Manifest Train, Eastbound, Valparaiso Indiana 0:21:18 How to Support the Bituminous Kole Channel 0:22:26 Shout Outs to Members and Supporters of Bituminous Kole 0:23:35 Canadian National Intermodal Train, Westbound, Valparaiso Indiana 0:27:19 Outro Most Viewed Bituminous Kole Videos: Richmond IN Bridge Removal, Replacement, and First Train: • 36 Hours From Last Train Over Old Bridge t...
