We checked all nine strong El Niño winters since 1950, region by region, to see what a Super El Niño really does. Some results happened eight times out of nine, and some happened every single time. In this video, we look at the 1998 Montreal ice storm, the deadly Florida tornadoes, record rain in California, the UK’s wettest day on record, and the winter that broke every rule. NOAA now says there is a better than 90% chance of a very strong El Niño this winter, and a 75% chance it becomes the biggest since 1950. We show where the dice are loaded hard and where it is only a coin flip, so you can see what the 2026-27 winter may mean for your area. If you found this useful, please like and subscribe. Researching these topics takes a lot of work. Which El Niño winter do you remember, and where were you?
