Khongsai expounds three remarkable miracles of Christ: the raising of Jairus’ daughter, the healing of the woman who had suffered for twelve years, and the restoration of sight to two blind men. In each account, Matthew draws our attention to faith in Christ, the divine authority of Jesus, and the glory revealed through His mighty works. These miracles reveal that Jesus Christ is no ordinary man. He is the promised Messiah, the Son of David, and the Son of God who has authority over sickness, suffering, and even death itself. Jairus trusted Christ in the face of death, the suffering woman reached out to Him in faith, and the blind men cried out for mercy, believing that Jesus was able to restore their sight. Yet these miracles point us beyond temporal healing to an even greater hope. Though God continues to hear the prayers of His people and is able to heal according to His sovereign will and purpose, sickness and death remain realities in this fallen world. The miracles of Christ therefore give us a glorious preview of the coming Kingdom, when Christ will renew all things and His people will experience the complete healing and resurrection of their bodies. This sermon calls us to continue trusting Christ even when circumstances are difficult, prayers seem unanswered, and deliverance appears far away.
