DISCODELICOS - Session 32 / Jesús Iñiguez presents: "Talk Of The Town" #vinyldjset #panamamusic

Welcome back to #Discodelicos! Session 32 is here now, live and in full effect. Today, we have the director, videographer, and editor of the Discodelicos series himself, Jesús Iñiguez (@eslvis on IG) on the decks! Jesús is a longtime collaborator of the Discodelic crew, having initiated this video series two years ago. By trade, he is a photographer and videographer. As one of three curators of the @Panama45s feed on Instagram, Jesús has helped in building an archive of Panamanian 45s by researching and interviewing musicians to preserve their histories, even going as far as providing all of the liner notes for the "Walk On" Discodelic reissues (vinyl available via the Discodelic bandcamp). You can catch him around the bay area at live music shows and events where he'll likely be snapping rolls of 35mm film, and occasionally manning the fort over at the Discodelic store. In this 47-minute set, Jesús pulls out all the stops to showcase some incredibly rare Panamanian singles from his collection, featuring a variety of different sounds that emanated from the Panama canal zone between 1967 and 1975. We hope you enjoy this session! = = = Director's note: "Folks had been asking me for a while now about when my session was gonna drop. Who was gonna film my episode, since I'm typically the one managing all of the cameras? I want to give it up to Brandon Vasquez for coming through and capturing this session of mine, and a special and sincere heartfelt THANK YOU to the Discodelic fam for hosting this session on my birthday! That was definitely a happy and very memorable birthday for me." - Jesús Iñiguez = = = Recorded live at the Discodelic store in San Francisco, we aim to bring you eclectic mixes by DJs and record collectors from around the world! Whether you’re a record collector who is curious about obscure lost sounds or are just plainly a music lover, these “Discodelicos” sessions will all be testaments to the art of record digging and delicious sonic selections.
