They Recorded a Bell That Doesn't Exist… in Spain's Cursed Village (The Séance of Fear)

October 31st, 2004. Pouring rain over the woods of Treviño, in northern Spain. Four people from a small radio station drive out to Ochate, the village people around here call cursed: three epidemics in ten years, a priest who vanished on the path to the hermitage, a farmer who never came back, and a ring of light photographed above the church tower. Their plan: leave a recorder running all night at the top of the bell tower, and capture the sound of a ghost village. At the foot of the tower, an old man is waiting for them in the rain. He says one sentence. "In Ochate, the dead don't rest. They count." At 2:46 in the morning, a bell rings in a tower that hasn't had a bell for more than a hundred years. And one of them is gone. The epidemics, the vanished priest and the ring of light are what the local legend has been telling for years.
