AI: Do We Really Only Have 10 Years Left?

Artificial Intelligence is advancing faster than most of us ever imagined — but is AI really going to take our jobs, replace human creativity and eventually become more intelligent than us? And could AI actually become a threat to humanity within the next 10 years? In this vlog, I take a proper look at the AI takeover debate without disappearing down the usual doom-and-gloom rabbit hole. We’ve been told to fear technology before — from the Millennium Bug to automation replacing workers — but this time, could things genuinely be different? I look at AI taking jobs, artificial general intelligence (AGI), robots and automation, AI replacing creative work, what happens when machines become smarter than humans, and whether ordinary working people will actually benefit from the AI revolution. Because for those of us in our 50s, there’s another question nobody seems to be asking: what happens if AI makes years of experience and skills suddenly less valuable just as we’re approaching the finishing line?
