Yamaha SPX90ii, Yamaha SPX900 and Yamaha A3000 effects, all presets, same drum pattern.

https://sdvy177.bandcamp.com/ This video is meant to show you the differences between the Yamaha SPX90ii and SPX900 effects units, and the A3000 sampler, which is in itself a perfectly good effects unit. Sorry if the beat gets boring, but I wanted to be scientific enough for you to be able to tell the difference. Perhaps this will help you choose which one you like the most. All presets are covered, although all are very much editable into extremes. I have to apologise for the lack of stereo, I use my unit as a send and return and therefore don't have panned effects, you can ignore those. Furthermore quicktime has issues on this brand new Mac (face palm) and only seems to record mono anyway, I'll be looking into alternatives. Otherwise I think it at least gives an idea as to the character of each unit. Also there's a nasty hum at points. If I wanted just one, I'd probably get the A3000, as you get so much for your money and if you can be bothered to fix it up (you'll need to), then you've got a perfectly good sampler too. Excuse the noise issue on the sampler part, it's some kind of ground loop that happens between it and my Soundcard, and isn't always a problem. Certainly don't let it deter you from buying this superb unit. This being said they are all pretty cheap and they all have their merits! What do you think?
