Fruit and Raisin Bread by Mai Goodness | Chelsea Loaf | No Mixer Needed

Nothing beats freshly baked bread for breakfast or merienda partnered with coffee or tea. Better than store bought and can be made easily at home as it includes simple and complete instructions for first time bakers. Enjoy! Fruit and Raisin Bread or Chelsea Loaf Ingredients: • 1 cup (250g) evaporated milk or fresh milk or 1/3 cup powdered milk diluted in 1 cup water, warm about 110⁰F (microwave for 30 seconds) • 2 1/4 tsp (7g) instant dry yeast • 1/2 cup (110g) light brown or white sugar • 1 Large Egg • 1/2 cup (125g) vegetable oil or canola or corn oil • 4 cups (500g) bread flour or all purpose flour • 1 tsp (6g) iodized salt • 1 tsp vanilla extract • 2 cups glaized fruit or preserved fruits • 1 cup raisins Egg wash: 1 egg 1 tbsp of milk or water *Preheat oven for 15 minutes at 180⁰C. Bake for 25 to 30 minutes and halfway through the baking at 15 minutes turn the baking pan around for even cooking. *Double the measurements if you want to make more.
