NJT Main Line: Three Trains Making Stops @ the New Lyndhurst Station on a Freezing Saturday 01/31/26

Taken: January 31, 2026 Rolling Stock: Alstom = PL42AC Locomotive #4016 and #4006; Comet V Coaches and Cab Cars #6012 and #6018. Bombardier = Multilevel Coaches and Cab Car #7055. EMD = NJT GP40PH-2B Locomotive #4215. Alright, y'all. I know it always be a hot minute whenever I upload on YouTube, but it is because I get preoccupied with work and other obligations, but don't fret. I didn't forget about y'all! In all honesty, I never thought of the day I would ever travel to Lyndhurst station to record at the new station; however, since I planned on going to the American Dream Mall with one of my friends, I figured why not make a stop here to check out the station. Definitely crazy how fast time has flown by because the last time I was here, it was at the old station on April 30 of the year prior. I was hoping to catch at least one reverse set on camera, given the snowstorm 5 days prior and was also anticipating on Train #75 being an MNCR set since it was traveling to Port Jervis, but it didn't happen. Oh well. At least I got a Geep in the form of GP40PH-2B #4215. Furthermore, given that the PL42ACs are on borrowed time due to their poor reliability, I'm not too concerned. It was also nice seeing the PL42AC/Multilevel combination on a trainset as well. Since I didn't get enough sleep the night before and given that I was sick for a couple of days, those two factors combined with the very cold 22 degree weather, it wasn't exactly the best experience, but thankfully, I was here for about 30 minutes and my car was nearby. With that being said, I have said plenty, so I will leave it at that.
