Nas Open Letter: What Is He TRYING To Say To Us?

Nas Open Letter: What Is He TRYING To Say To Us? On this emergency breakdown for Doggie Diamonds No Filter, we react to the powerful open letter signed by Nasir Jones ("BLAK MUSIC 2026"). Tracing the lineage of Black American music from the Delta blues to modern hip-hop, Nas invoked blues icon Robert Johnson at the crossroads—a genius whose blueprint transformed global music, yet whose own grave remains unmarked. Nas took aim directly at corporate record labels that profit off Black innovation while leaving the originators broke, as well as modern artists who trade real artistic legacy for temporary, disposable internet trends. When an executive and legendary emcee like Nas speaks on the industry, everybody needs to sit down, take notes, and stand on business! 🎥🔥 Do you agree with Nas that today's artists are sacrificing their cultural legacy for temporary trends?
