Mia Calloway - My Turn To Go (Official Music Video)

Mia packs the ute before dawn: board on the racks, guitar in the passenger seat, key underneath the pot. North to a little room in Brissy, her name in chalk, and the first chord in front of strangers. “My Turn To Go” is Mia Calloway’s second official music video — a song about leaving before another year slips past. Mia Calloway is a fictional AI music persona. This video tells her story using AI-generated imagery. LYRICS The ute’s packed by the gate My board’s strapped up on the racks My guitar takes the passenger seat I’ve waved off half my mates from here Now my key’s underneath the pot I’ve checked the straps three times I nearly take my bag back in I’m gonna play those songs I turn the key before I think This time it’s my turn to go Past where they know my name I’d rather sing to empty chairs Than spend my life saying “next year” This time it’s my turn to go Yeah, it’s my turn to go Yeah, it’s my turn to go A room in Brissy above a bar My name’s in chalk beside the door I cross the easy covers out Then put one back in, just in case I hear them call my name My picking hand won’t settle down I step up to the mic The first chord cuts across the crowd This time it’s my turn to go Past where they know my name I’d rather sing to empty chairs Than spend my life saying “next year” This time it’s my turn to go I’ve spent the rent to book this room I might be home again next week Asking for my old shifts back That scares me more than empty seats This time it’s my turn to go They don’t yet know my name I’d rather sing to empty chairs Than spend my life saying “next year” This time it’s my turn to go Yeah, it’s my turn to go #MiaCalloway #MyTurnToGo #OfficialMusicVideo
