H.G. Wells "The Time Machine" Story and Music Vinyl (Lost Media) (1973 Wonderland Golden Records)

This here is a dramatized audio adaptation of H.G. Wells' classic novel, released in 1973 by Wonderland Golden Records (a Golden Record Division release, A.A. Records Inc.) as part of their "Great Movie Adventures in Sound and Story" series, which were story-and-song LPs built around movie tie-ins for kids. The cover art (signed "Stan") depicts the Time Traveller battling the Morlocks amid a swirling time-vortex, clearly drawing on the visual style of the 1960 George Pal film rather than illustrating Wells' original text directly. The back cover doubles as a full catalog spread for Golden Records' children's LP line, containing everything from The Little Engine That Could and Fiddler on the Roof to "Little Golden Book Stories" read-along sets, which offers a nice snapshot of the early-70s children's-record market.
