US Juice Brands to Avoid, Harmful Chemicals, Food Exposure
In 2019, Consumer Reports sent forty-five fruit juices to a laboratory. Twenty-four brands. Three samples of every product, bought by secret shoppers from stores across the country.
Every one came back carrying a measurable amount of at least one of four metals: cadmium, inorganic arsenic, lead or mercury. Not most of them. All forty-five.
Twenty-one carried enough for Consumer Reports' scientists to call the level concerning. On that list: bottles marked organic, bottles sold as fresh pressed, bottles made for children.
One brand had four separate products on it.

SOURCES & METHODOLOGY
Consumer Reports tested three samples each of 45 juice products from 24 brands. The 2019 results were a market “spot check,” not a verdict on every bottle or on products sold today. Detection does not by itself prove harm. Package-specific statements refer to the exact labels shown in the video.
