有珠山ロープウェイ Mt. USU Ropeway

北海道を代表する観光地・洞爺湖のすぐ南側にそびえる有珠山（うすざん）。 その麓から山頂までをわずか6分で結ぶ「有珠山ロープウェイ」は、ただの移動手段ではなく、北海道の大自然と火山が織りなすダイナミックな景観を味わえる絶好のアトラクションです。 ロープウェイの終点のある有珠山テラスからは駐車場からは見えない昭和新山の全貌や洞爺湖、されに火口原展望台まで足を延ばすと有珠山の噴火でできた銀沼大火口も眼下に見渡せます。 Mount Usu (Usuzan), which rises just south of Lake Toya, a representative tourist destination in Hokkaido. Connecting its base to the summit in just six minutes, the Mount Usu Ropeway is not merely a means of transportation, but a fantastic attraction where you can experience the dynamic scenery woven together by Hokkaido's magnificent nature and its volcanoes. From Mount Usu Terrace at the ropeway's upper station, you can take in the full view of Showa-shinzan—which cannot be seen from the parking lot—as well as Lake Toya. If you extend your walk to the Crater Basin Observatory (Kikuhara/Hi-kuchi-gen Observatory), you can even look down upon the Ginnuma Crater, created by Mount Usu's eruptions.
