Every Store on Main Street Was Closed. Someone Was Still Baking Bread.
Main Street was empty. Every business was closed. But someone was still baking fresh bread.
During a zombie outbreak, a former delivery driver follows the smell into a town that may not be as deserted as it looks.
Russ Dempsey only meant to pass through Garrity. Behind the covered windows of Parkside Bread Company, he finds a baker keeping her old ovens warm and neighbors moving quietly between buildings. Each loaf matters to someone who cannot safely step outside. But supplies are limited, the streets are dangerous, and not everyone knows who is receiving help.
As a simple delivery routine becomes harder to protect, Russ must decide what he can responsibly promise—and whose voice has been missing from the decisions.
