Maya: Placing xGen Hair with a Mask

My tutorials always start with a fresh scene. So please don't expect to create an excellent moustache within the 9 minutes of this video ;-) What I demonstrate is a) to set up a file structure so that xGen does its job smoothly, b) place hair on a surface using guides and c) paint a mask to restrict the area where the hair is allowed to grow. I received an important comment: "At 4:07 you say about the paint brush tool that "you can scale it up like this or down like this" but you didn't say that you have to hold the SHIFT button to scale it."
