Join our Fear of God teaching series as we continue our 14-day journey to deepen our reverence for the Lord. This session is part of the Rain of Mercy devotional series. We are exploring the practical application of living with a heart that honors God, even when facing technical challenges or daily distractions. This study is designed for anyone seeking to align their life more closely with biblical principles through consistent, daily reflection. By participating in this Fear of God study, you will find encouragement to maintain your spiritual focus. We look at how to sustain our commitment to the Lord amidst the realities of our everyday lives. This teaching is a helpful resource for those dedicated to a life of worship and biblical integrity. WEEK 2 • DAY 08 The Lord Is My Refuge KEY SCRIPTURE Psalm 34:7–9; Psalm 46:1 Bible Story Elijah Is Sustained by God — 1 Kings 19:1–18 After a frightening threat from Jezebel, Elijah fled into the wilderness, exhausted and discouraged. God provided food, rest, His presence, and direction for the next part of Elijah’s journey. This story shows that reverence for God includes bringing our weakness and fear to Him and receiving His care. Devotional Thought The God who is holy is also good, faithful, and near to those who seek Him. We can bring our worries to Him without pretending life is easy. Reflect What concern do I need to entrust to God instead of carrying alone? Today’s Practice Write down one worry and pray over it, asking God for help with the next faithful step. Daily Confession “I trust in the Lord and take refuge in Him. He is faithful, and I can bring my concerns to Him while walking in obedience today.” Prayer Lord, You are my refuge and strength. Help me trust Your character when I cannot see the outcome. Keep my heart anchored in You. Amen.
