کیا حساب کا ایک ہی دن ہے؟ کیا ترازو (میزانِ عمل) ایک ہے یا متعدد؟ قیامت کے دن حساب و کتاب ایک ہی عظیم دن میں ہوگا، جسے یومِ حساب یا یومِ قیامت کہا جاتا ہے۔ البتہ اس دن کے مختلف مراحل اور مواقع ہوں گے، جیسے قبروں سے اٹھایا جانا، میدانِ حشر میں جمع ہونا، اعمال کا حساب، نامۂ اعمال کا ملنا، میزانِ عمل، پل صراط اور آخر میں جنت یا جہنم کا فیصلہ۔ اسی وجہ سے قرآنِ کریم میں اس دن کے مختلف اوقات اور مراحل کا ذکر مختلف انداز میں آیا ہے۔ میزانِ عمل برحق ہے اور اس کے ذریعے بندوں کے اعمال تولے جائیں گے۔ جمہور اہلِ سنت کے نزدیک اصل میزان ایک ہی ہے، لیکن اس کے ذریعے تمام انسانوں کے اعمال کا وزن کیا جائے گا۔ بعض علماء نے متعدد میزان کا بھی احتمال بیان کیا ہے، مگر راجح اور مشہور قول یہی ہے کہ میزان ایک ہے، البتہ اس سے تمام مخلوق کے اعمال کا حساب لیا جائے گا۔ خلاصہ یہ ہے کہ حساب کا دن ایک ہی ہوگا، لیکن اس میں کئی مراحل ہوں گے۔ اسی طرح میزانِ عمل بھی برحق ہے، اور جمہور علماء کے نزدیک وہ ایک ہی میزان ہے جس میں اللہ تعالیٰ اپنے عدل کے مطابق تمام بندوں کے اعمال کا وزن فرمائے گا، پھر ہر شخص کو اس کے اعمال کے مطابق جزا یا سزا دی جائے گی۔ Is There Only One Day of Judgment? Is the Scale (Mizan of Deeds) One or Multiple? The reckoning of all people will take place on a single great Day known as the Day of Judgment (Yawm al-Qiyamah) or the Day of Reckoning (Yawm al-Hisab). However, this Day will consist of several stages, including resurrection from the graves, gathering in the Plain of Judgment, the accountability of deeds, the receiving of the record of deeds, the weighing of deeds on the Scale (Mizan), crossing the Sirat, and finally entering Paradise or Hell. This is why the Qur'an describes different events of that Day in various verses. The Mizan (Scale of Deeds) is a true reality, and through it the deeds of people will be weighed. According to the majority of Ahl al-Sunnah wa al-Jama'ah, there is one Scale by which the deeds of all mankind will be weighed. Some scholars have suggested the possibility of multiple scales, but the stronger and more widely accepted opinion is that there is one Mizan used for the judgment of all people. In summary, there is only one Day of Judgment, although it includes many different stages. Likewise, the Mizan is a true and established reality. According to the majority of scholars, there is one Scale through which Allah, in His perfect justice, will weigh the deeds of all people and then reward or punish each person according to their deeds.
