Train Cab Ride NL / Utrecht - Nijmegen - Roosendaal - Vlissingen / Four Provinces / March 2024

Hi everyone! A little late but it's time for a 261km ride! We start the ride in Utrecht at the dawn of day. The sun will start shining soon. You'll get to see the just re-opened modernized station Ede-Wageningen. We have a first timer in this video for the route Nijmegen to 's-Hertogenbosch. We'll pass the Edith Bridge. This because leaving here earlier would cause a 5 minute stop just before Roosendaal since the train in the opposite direction will depart there from our arrival platform just before we arrive. 1:56:39 Breda connection 2:00:34 Etten-Leur 2:11:09 Roosendaal Change of trains again. Now to the route towards Vlissingen. Shown about 1.5 months ago for the first time on my channel. This time the temporary speed limits are gone. And the weather will be much better than the last time we drove here. Also I added a lot of extra info in the video compared to last time! 2:14:05 Varkensneus MS75 The train on the left is coming from Belgium. In Dutch we call it the 'Varkensneus' (Pig Nose). 2:17:43 Old Locomotive on the Right Some history planted on the right side of the tracks! :D 2:19:07 Kragge connection 2:21:07 Bergen op Zoom 2:25:20 Longest Dutch Curved Rail (Province Border) Here's the longest Dutch Rail Curve we have. Almost two minutes before we'll reach the end of it. 2:28:00 Kreekrakspoorbrug 2:30:18 Rilland-Bath 2:33:22 Dijkcoupure On this route you'll see a lot of Dijkcoupures. These dikes can be shut for trains and water. The doors of the dikes will be closed in case of a water emergency and sand bags will be placed for extra support and strength. Just as I call the dispatcher it already starts working. We have a small delay on departure. 2:51:15 ATB Track Failure Unfortunately we still have some ATB failures on this route.
