Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D Walkthrough Part 18 - Bottom of the Well & Lens of Truth

Something terrible has escaped beneath Kakariko Village in The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time 3D, sending us seven years into the past to explore the creepy Bottom of the Well! When Adult Link returns to Kakariko Village, part of the village is in flames. A mysterious shadow escapes from the well and attacks both Link and Sheik before disappearing. Sheik reveals that the next Sage lies within the Shadow Temple and teaches us the Nocturne of Shadow. Before we can continue, however, we need an important item hidden in the past. At the Kakariko Windmill, Link learns the Song of Storms before returning the Master Sword to its pedestal and travelling seven years into the past. We make a quick detour to Zora's River, where playing the Song of Storms for the frogs earns us another Piece of Heart. After playing the other non-warp Ocarina songs for them, we complete their musical minigame for yet another Heart Piece. Then it's back to Kakariko Village. Playing the Song of Storms inside the Windmill causes it to spin out of control and drains the village well, allowing Child Link to enter the mysterious Bottom of the Well. This mini-dungeon is filled with invisible hazards, false walls, hidden passages and undead enemies. After lowering the water level, Link encounters the horrifying Dead Hand miniboss. Defeating Dead Hand rewards us with an incredibly useful item: the Lens of Truth! With the Lens, previously invisible walls and objects can finally be revealed. We use it to explore the rest of the well, obtain the Dungeon Map and Compass, find several Small Keys and collect three Gold Skulltulas. Before returning to adulthood, we put our new Lens to another use at the Treasure Chest Shop in Hyrule Castle Town. The game normally requires us to guess which chest contains the next key... but the Lens of Truth lets us cheat and see exactly what's inside! Our reward is another Piece of Heart. Finally, Link returns seven years into the future, plays the Nocturne of Shadow to reach Kakariko Graveyard and uses Din's Fire to open the entrance to the Shadow Temple.
