Gentleness Isn’t Weakness: The Powerful Strength Jesus Calls Us To

Are you a gentle person? When you hear the word gentle, do you picture someone quiet, soft-spoken, shy—or maybe even a little wimpy? But biblical gentleness is so much more. Jesus said, “I am gentle and humble in heart” (Matthew 11:29). And if gentleness is part of who Jesus is, and a fruit of the Spirit, then we need to understand what Scripture really means by it.
