Excelsior Peak via Damfino Lakes (Day Hiking in Washington)

This is another hike with a lot of bang for the buck. The grade is gentle and the changing scenery from forest to ponds, then meadows and ridges, kept us distracted so we hardly noticed the steady incline. The peak offers panoramic views of numerous mountains in both Canada and the United States. The view of Baker and Shuksan is always breath-taking.
