This video documents the traffic lights at the busy intersection of Randolph Street and Monroe Street in the heart of Detroit's Greektown district. This footage captures the construction zone phase where the old mast arms are still active while the new ones have been installed right next to them. The intersection is currently operating on the older Mast Arms, featuring 6 12-inch Durasig Retrofit LED heads. A mix of generations, including 4 Retrofit Durasig pedestrian lights, 4 LED pedestrian lights, and 2 Countdown pedestrian lights. You can see the future of the intersection installed but not yet turned on. New Mast Arms are in place holding 6 New 12-inch MoboTrex LED heads equipped with Backplates. These are currently covered up. There are 2 New Pole Mounted heads with Backplates installed but facing away from traffic. A total of 10 New Countdown Pedestrian Lights have been mounted but are also facing away.

💬 Do you find it confusing driving through intersections when both the old and new traffic lights are up at the same time, even if the new ones are covered? Let me know in the comments!
