Commitment Through Difficult Seasons | Building a Strong Marriage When Life Gets Hard Every marriage will experience difficult seasons. Financial pressure, disappointment, illness, parenting challenges, communication struggles, emotional distance, and other trials can test even strong relationships. But does a difficult season mean a marriage has failed? Not necessarily. In this teaching, we explore what covenant commitment looks like when marriage becomes difficult. Because marriage is a covenant—not merely a contract—Christian couples are called to develop a commitment that goes deeper than changing feelings and circumstances. In this video, we explore: Why difficult seasons are a normal part of marriage Why covenant commitment goes beyond feelings How to face problems instead of running from them Why difficult seasons reveal the foundation of a marriage The importance of perseverance Forgiveness, grace, truth, and rebuilding trust How couples can turn toward God during difficult seasons The importance of seeking help when necessary Why biblical commitment does not mean enduring abuse How God can use difficult seasons to produce growth and maturity Key Scriptures 📖 John 16:33 📖 1 Corinthians 13:4–7 📖 Matthew 7:24–27 📖 Psalm 127:1 📖 Galatians 6:9 📖 Colossians 3:13 📖 Ecclesiastes 4:9–12 📖 Romans 5:3–4 A Question for You What difficult season has taught you the most about commitment, faith, or God’s faithfulness in marriage?
