Psalm 22 begins in anguish.
“My ALUAH… My ALUAH… why do You seem so far away?”
It is the cry of someone who feels surrounded, weary, misunderstood, and stretched to the edge of endurance.
Morning comes.
Night returns.
The questions remain.
And still, the heart keeps calling upon YAHUAH.
Psalm 22 does not hide the pain of feeling abandoned. It brings that pain into the open and then begins to remember what is true.
YAHUAH is qodesh.
He has been faithful before.
He heard the cries of those who trusted Him.
He carried His servant from the beginning.
He does not turn away from the humble.
What begins as a lonely cry slowly becomes a declaration.
The one who weeps in the opening of the Psalm eventually stands among the people and proclaims the Name of YAHUAH.
The poor are remembered.
The humble are heard.
The nations turn.
Generations yet unborn will hear of His righteousness.
Psalm 22 moves from sorrow to testimony.
From isolation to proclamation.
From “Why are You far away?” to:
YAHUAH reigns.
Every nation.
Every people.
Every generation.
Will remember.
Will worship.
Will proclaim His Name.

LYRICS
My ALUAH…
My ALUAH…
Why do You seem so far away?
I cry by morning.
I cry through the night.
Still my soul
Waits for Your light.
My voice grows weary.
My tears fall like rain.
Still I call
Upon Your Name.
Hear my cry…
YAHUAH…
Hear my prayer…
YAHUAH…
We wait…
We wait…
For You alone.
Yet You are qodesh,
Enthroned upon the praises
Of Yisra’el.
Our fathers trusted.
You delivered them.
They cried to You,
And You answered them.
Since my first breath
You have carried me.
From my mother’s arms
You have known me.
Do not be far from me now.
Be near me,
O YAHUAH.
When no one understands.
Be near me,
O YAHUAH.
Hold me in Your hands.
Though sorrow surrounds me,
My hope will remain.
I will keep calling
Upon Your Name.
The proud surround me.
Their voices accuse.
Their laughter is bitter.
Their hearts refuse.
My strength is poured out
Like water on the ground.
Still I believe
Your mercy will be found.
Though shadows gather,
Though fear draws near,
I know
You’re still here.
You are faithful…
Forever…
You are faithful…
Forever…
You are faithful…
Forever…
I will declare
Your Name
To my brothers.
I will sing
Among Your people.
You have heard
The cry of the humble.
You have never
Turned away.
The poor shall eat
And be satisfied.
Every nation
Will remember.
Every generation
Will proclaim…
YAHUAH reigns!
Be exalted,
O YAHUAH!
All the earth
Will sing Your praise.
From every tribe.
From every nation.
Every heart
Will know Your Name.
The kingdoms
Belong to You.
The future
Belongs to You.
Your righteousness
Will be declared
To generations yet unborn.
Who is faithful?
YAHUAH!
Who has heard us?
YAHUAH!
Who reigns forever?
YAHUAH!
Every nation!
Every people!
Every generation!
Will proclaim
YAHUAH!
YAHUAH!
YAHUAH!
AMATH.

If this Psalm speaks to your heart, share it with someone who needs the reminder that the cry is not the end of the story.
YAHUAH hears the humble, remembers the afflicted, and turns sorrow into testimony.
Come walk through the Psalms with us—one cry, one remembrance, one declaration, and one song at a time.
