Scared of giving birth or worried about how you'll handle labor contractions? Hypnobirthing and mental rehearsal can help you prepare your mind for childbirth before labor even begins.
If you find yourself imagining the pain, worrying that you won't be able to handle contractions, or repeatedly thinking about everything that could go wrong, you may already be mentally rehearsing your birth — just not the experience you want.
In this video, I'm going to show you how to begin practicing something different.
**And stay until the end, because I've created a FREE guided hypnobirthing hypnosis that you can start using during pregnancy to put what I'm teaching you into practice. 🎧🤍
🌊 *IN THIS VIDEO, YOU'LL LEARN:*
• Why worry can become a form of mental rehearsal
• How fear and anticipation can influence the way you respond to labor
• How to mentally rehearse contractions before birth
• Why I prefer to imagine contractions as “waves”
• A simple hypnobirthing exercise you can practice every day
• How breathing, relaxation and visualization can become familiar tools before labor
• Why repetition matters when preparing your mind for birth
During my first birth, I was afraid of every contraction. I would feel one beginning and immediately think:
*“Oh no… here comes another one.”*
My body would tense before the contraction had even reached its peak.
Before my second birth, I learned hypnosis and began preparing my mind differently.
Instead of imagining contractions as something I had to fight, I began imagining them as **waves**.
A wave begins.
It rises.
It peaks.
And then it passes.
🌊 *One wave at a time.*
That shift became an important part of my own birth preparation and ultimately inspired the work I do today as a Certified Hypnotherapist.
The goal of hypnobirthing isn't to create a “perfect” birth or guarantee a pain-free experience.
It's about giving yourself tools to work with your mind and body and preparing how you want to meet whatever birth brings.
🎧 *FREE HYPNOBIRTHING HYPNOSIS*
I created a free guided hypnosis that you can listen to during pregnancy to practice relaxation, visualization and mental preparation for labor.
