Ducati Streetfighter 1098 Rebuild - Episode 2 - Getting head from an Italian!

The Ducati Streetfighter 1098 resurrection continues, and this time we’re getting head from an Italian! In Episode 1, we started stripping down the seized Ducati Streetfighter 1098 to find out whether the engine could be saved. Now it’s time to dig considerably deeper... with zero ability! In Episode 2, I remove the airbox and throttle bodies before working my way down to the cylinder head. With the head finally off, we can properly inspect the valves, piston and cylinder for any signs of contact or witness marks potentially caused by the catastrophic failure. What we find here is important. If the valves have met the piston, we're potentially looking at a much bigger engine rebuild.
