Saspul to Leh : Sangam Point, Magnetic Hill & Leh-Ladakh | Umling La 2023 - Day 6 - Part 2

DAY 6 — PART 2 of our 18-day Royal Enfield Himalayan expedition to Hanle and Umling La. The second half of our same-day ride from Matayen to Leh begins with a tea break at Saspul and continues through some of Ladakh's most spectacular landmarks. We ride through Basho village, stop at the famous Sangam Point where the Indus and Zanskar rivers meet, cross Magnetic Hill and pass the HIMANK Transit Camp operated by the Border Roads Organisation before finally reaching Leh — the capital of Ladakh. 🏍️ DAY 6 — PART 2 SASPUL → LEH ☕ SASPUL TEA BREAK After completing Part 1 from Matayen to Saspul, we take a short tea break before continuing toward Leh. 🏔️ BASHO VILLAGE We leave Saspul and continue deeper into the Ladakh landscape, passing through Basho village on the way toward Leh. 🌊 SANGAM POINT One of the highlights of the ride is Sangam Point — the spectacular meeting point of the emerald-green Indus River and the muddy-blue Zanskar River. Two rivers. Two completely different colours. One incredible Himalayan landscape. 🧲 MAGNETIC HILL The journey continues past Magnetic Hill, one of the most famous roadside landmarks on the Leh–Srinagar highway. 🚧 HIMANK TRANSIT CAMP We also pass the HIMANK Transit Camp of the Border Roads Organisation as we continue toward Leh. 🏙️ FINAL DESTINATION — LEH After a long day on the road, we finally reach Leh, the capital of Ladakh. This completes our Matayen → Leh ride. 📍 DAY 6 — COMPLETE JOURNEY PART 1 Matayen → Drass → Kargil → Fotu La → Saspul PART 2 Saspul → Basho → Sangam Point → Magnetic Hill → HIMANK Transit Camp → Leh 298 KM.
