Birding in Belize: The Lodge at Chaa Creek

It is time to get wildly civilized and go bird watching with The Lodge at Chaa Creek! For our fourth episode of A Day in a Birder's Life series, we went birding at The Lodge at Chaa Creek. This luxury eco-resort was recently named as Belize’s hotel of the year for 2018. Chaa Creek has done an excellent job in preserving the natural state of the property while building an amazing luxury eco-resort where anyone can come and enjoy nature in its near pristine state.  At the crack of dawn, we met Mr. Miguel Choco who gave us a copy of the Chaa Creek Nature Reserve Bird Guide, along with a thorough briefing before taking us on a birding hike through the Chaa Creek Nature Preserve.
