Mare with Anaplasmosis Has Textbook Foaling!

Jazz when into labor 12 days early, she picked a nice respectable time to start labor and her foal was born at 8:48pm, all timelines were passed quickly. Jazz passed her placenta by 9:25pm, the foal was standing within an hour at 9:56pm (needed a little bit of encouragement to get up), nursing by 10:13pm. Jazz was diagnosed with Anaplasmosis last fall, and we considered her to be a "High Risk" Foaling due to the fact that she had a really bad Laminitic Episode while several months pregnant. We were able to get her comfortable to carry her foal to term - but weren't sure how she would do after foaling. We wanted to update to say she has been doing great and is loving being a mum again!
