It is the evening when the harvest is finished, the market stalls are packed away, and every household places a carved lantern outside its door. For many years, the custom ended at midnight. When the village bell struck twelve, the lanterns were extinguished, the doors were barred, and autumn's last celebration came to an end. Then, on one particularly cold Hallow's End, a young traveler lost her way on the forest road. By the time she reached the village, every window was dark. Every doorway was shut. Only one lantern still burned: a small, crooked pumpkin outside the inn. The keeper had forgotten to blow it out. Following its light, the traveler found the door, knocked, and was welcomed inside for a meal beside the hearth. She had little money, but carried a pouch of unusual pumpkin seeds that her grandmother had given her. In gratitude, she offered them to the keeper. The following spring, he planted them in the inn's garden. By harvest time, the vines had produced pumpkins in the strangest shades the village had ever seen. Some shone golden orange. Others took on deep violet or green, and when carved into lanterns, their colors seemed even brighter in the autumn twilight. The villagers decided that such pumpkins deserved a festival of their own. And the keeper made one change to the old tradition. From that year onward, no lantern at the inn would be extinguished at midnight. The celebration could end. The musicians could rest. But a light would remain burning until sunrise, just in case another traveler needed to find the way. Generations have passed, and the custom remains. Every Hallow's End, the inn fills with carved pumpkins, harvest feasts, and music long after the village grows quiet. Some say the colorful lanterns are enchanted. Others say they simply remind the village of a kindness that should never have depended on an accidental candle. Either way, the innkeeper always leaves one lantern glowing beside the door. Welcome to The Hallow's End Inn. The harvest is gathered. The moon is rising. And the last lantern will stay lit until everyone is home. #Halloween #TavernMusic #CelticMusic #MedievalMusic #AutumnAmbience #CozyHalloween #HalloweenMusic #FantasyMusic #HarvestSeason #DnDMusic #HauntedTavernMusic
