New India: 😱 EAST DELHI 2.0! 🇮🇳 | Yamuna Paar Mega Transformation | Infrastructure & Connectivity Instagram :   / newway.journey   East Delhi is changing — and in this video, we take you on an exciting driving journey through Yamuna Paar, showcasing the massive infrastructure, connectivity, beautification and urban transformation taking place across this part of Delhi. Our journey begins at Sarai Kale Khan, one of Delhi's most important emerging transportation hubs, where we get a glimpse of RRTS connectivity, railway infrastructure and the newly opened Barapullah Phase-III corridor. From here, we drive across the new elevated Barapullah Phase-III, connecting towards Mayur Vihar, and explore how this new infrastructure is adding another major layer to East Delhi's connectivity. We then continue towards Akshardham and the Delhi-Dehradun Expressway, experiencing the impressive combination of elevated roads, metro infrastructure, service roads and multi-level connectivity. But this journey is not only about highways and flyovers. We also explore the Yamuna floodplain and Asita, where green spaces and ecological restoration are creating a completely different side of East Delhi. As we continue through Geeta Colony and Shastri Park, we showcase the colourful artwork, beautifully painted pillars, murals and beautification work underneath and around the elevated infrastructure. The journey then takes us through the Seelampur and Shahdara side, followed by Khajuri Khas, before finally reaching one of Delhi's most iconic modern landmarks — the Signature Bridge. From the massive elevated corridors to colourful infrastructure, green spaces, metro connectivity, expressways and iconic bridges, this drive gives us a fascinating look at how East Delhi and Yamuna Paar are evolving into a more connected and modern urban region. Delhi is a city and a union territory of India. It is bordered by Haryana on three sides and by Uttar Pradesh to the east. The NCT covers an area of 1,484 sq km (573 sq mi). According to the 2011 census, Delhi city proper's population was over 11 million, the second-highest in India after Mumbai. Delhi's urban area is now considered to extend beyond the NCT boundary and include the neighboring cities of Faridabad, Gurgaon, Noida and Ghaziabad in an area now called Central National Capital Region (CNCR) with an estimated 2016 population of over 26 million people, making it the world's second-largest urban area after Tokyo (Japan) according to United Nations. It is the second-wealthiest city after Mumbai in India, with a total wealth of $450 billion and home to 18 billionaires and 23,000 millionaires. Delhi has the highest per capita GDP in India with ₹3,29,000 (US$4,600) and total GDP stood at ₹6.86 lakh crore (US$96 billion). Delhi has been continuously inhabited since the 6th century BC. Through most of its history, Delhi has served as a capital of various kingdoms and empires. It has been captured, ransacked and rebuilt several times, particularly during the medieval period, and modern Delhi is a cluster of a number of cities spread across the metropolitan region.
