⭐ Featured tools from this episode:
The quarter panels on this 1972 Chevy Nova are completely toast — so there’s only one thing left to do: cut them off and replace them.
Removing the quarter panel exposes the outer wheelhouse, hidden rust, the rocker panel and years of dirt, debris and questionable repairs hiding underneath. What starts as a quarter-panel replacement quickly turns into a much bigger restoration job.
This is also my first time replacing a quarter panel one of the biggest lessons from this job was don't rush the fitment. It took about seven hours just to get the quarter panel sitting correctly before welding — but getting the gaps, body lines and positioning right was worth the extra time.
This is real-world DIY restoration — mistakes, lessons, tools, rust and all.
