LYRICS The plans fell apart, so I'm here on my own I put up the lights and I turn off the phone Then hear from the chapel a Christmas song rise Of Jesus born under the Bethlehem skies I pull on my coat and I walk through the square And find there is room and a welcome to share Christmas mercy, gentle and bright Jesus has come to be our living light There's room in His welcome for hearts like mine Grace is a gift that no sorrow can confine Christmas mercy, faithful and true I'm finding new hope in the love of You A stranger moves over and offers a seat We sing of the Savior whose mercy we need The child in the manger was born for us all The strong and the weary, the great and the small I don't need to polish the year I've been through To hear that His welcome is faithful and true Christmas mercy, gentle and bright Jesus has come to be our living light There's room in His welcome for hearts like mine Grace is a gift that no sorrow can confine Christmas mercy, faithful and true I'm finding new hope in the love of You We share something warm when the service is done A woman says, Join us, there's room for one I learn that a Christmas can change as it goes That hope can arrive through a door someone holds Tomorrow I'll call someone lonely as well The news of His mercy is good news to tell I won't pretend every ache went away But hope has a place in my heart today The Word became flesh, came to walk where we are Not kindness kept distant like one far-off star This Christmas I trust what His coming has shown In Jesus's mercy I am not alone Christmas mercy, gentle and bright Jesus has come to be our living light There's room in His welcome for hearts like mine Grace is a gift that no sorrow can confine Christmas mercy, faithful and true I'm finding new hope in the love of You Christmas mercy, gentle and bright Thank You, Lord Jesus, for bringing Your light #ChristianMusic #ChristmasJazz #ChristmasWorship #ChristianChristmas #ChristmasMusic #GospelJazz #JesusIsBorn #Praisely
