Vocals & Creative Concept: Ekaterina Yaremchuk Historic Footprint — History Lives in Music Coins of Ancient Rome Hear the hammer, hear the sound, Silver ringing on the ground. In the fire, metal glows, Another coin of Rome is born. Deep inside the workshop light, Metal waits beneath the strike. Measured, heated, shaped with care, Ready for the dies prepared. Then the hammer falls once more, Emperor's face and symbols form. Silver, bronze and shining gold, Tiny pieces, stories told. From the workshop to the street, Coins pass through the hands we meet. Every market, every road, Carries money stamped by Rome. Coins of Rome, from hand to hand, Travelling across the land. Denarius, sestertius, Buying bread and paying dues. Faces, victories, gods and signs, Messages that cross through time. Hear the ancient metal ring Every coin has tales to bring. In the market voices rise, Bread and olives, cloth and wine. Merchants count the coins they earn, One by one the pieces turn. Soldiers wait to take their pay, Then they spend it on their way. From Britannia's distant rain To the Mediterranean plain. In a purse or buried deep, Coins are lost for earth to keep. Centuries will pass them by, Still the portraits never die. Coins of Rome, from hand to hand, Travelling across the land. Denarius, sestertius, Buying bread and paying dues. Faces, victories, gods and signs, Messages that cross through time. Hear the ancient metal ring Every coin has tales to bring. Aureus glowing like the sun, Bronze and silver, one by one. Emperors changed and legends grew, New designs and titles too. Some proclaimed a victory, Some showed temples, gods or peace. Money carried more than trade Images and claims were made. Coins of Rome, from hand to hand, Across an ancient, changing land. Through the markets, forts and towns, Past the temples, roads and crowds. Gold and silver, bronze and time, Ancient history in every line. Hear the hammer, hear it ring — Every coin has tales to bring. Now the market sounds are gone, But beneath the earth lives Rome. One small coin comes into light, And an ancient face looks back tonight.
