Throughout these 2 decades, they not only founded a Singapore music school - Intune Music - in the year 2007 (It is now in its 13th year of operations), but also collaborated in numerous music projects and performances. One of their notable collaborations was when Aaron launched his ‘To Protect’ 《守护》 EP in 2014, with Chi Sheng being the main composer and music producer, whereas Aaron was the recording artist and singer. In this significant year of 2020, to celebrate their 20 years of friendship, Chi Sheng and Aaron decided to release a single entitled “Transparent Wings” 《透明的翅膀》. This is also Chi Sheng’s first few forays into the limelight as a singer and performer, as he was previously always in the background, composing songs and producing music. Chi Sheng is also part of a quirky local trio ‘Lim Tay Peng’, formed during early 2019, of which Aaron is also a member. That allowed Chi Sheng to gain more experience as a performer on stage, and gave him the confidence to release this single with Aaron as a performing duo. This single, “Transparent Wings” 《透明的翅膀》, is dedicated to their own parents, and also to all parents in the world. Parents who have been like transparent wings, accompanying their children through notable milestones in life, for example important school-leaving examinations, and for the Singaporean boys, National Service. Apart from buying the usual gifts for our parents, for example birds nest and chicken essence, or treating them to sumptuous meals, Chi Sheng and Aaron would like to suggest other creative ways to celebrate with our parents. These can be in the form of writing a note-card for our parents, and also sharing a favourite song together, as these are meaningful ways to spend Mother’s Day and Father’s Day together as a family. To quote a line from the chorus of the single, “Transparent Wings” 《透明的翅膀》: “ 爱就像透明的翅膀 越无瑕越是不明显 “ A parent’s love is like a pair of transparent wings; sometimes the more perfect the love is, the more we do not notice it and we begin to take it for granted. However, hidden behind this perfect and transparent love, are our parents’ heart aches and weaknesses that they do not wish to show us. For this single, Chi Sheng and Aaron also decided to give themselves a unique and fun pop duo name, ‘QQ Brothers’.
