Okay Sweden… WHAT IS THIS?! 😂🇸🇪 Today I'm reacting to Grotesco and their “Learn English!” sketch, and apparently we're continuing my education in just how wonderfully weird European comedy can get. I've been discovering comedy from all over Europe on this channel, but Swedish humor is quickly proving that it has its OWN particular brand of chaos. 😂 And Grotesco seems more than happy to demonstrate it. This sketch takes something as ordinary as learning English and turns it into something completely ridiculous — which also opens up a genuinely interesting cultural topic. English is spoken incredibly well across much of Scandinavia, particularly among younger generations, and as a native English speaker it's very easy to take that for granted. But learning another language isn't just memorizing vocabulary. Pronunciation matters. Accents matter. Context matters. Slang DEFINITELY matters. And sometimes the English you're taught in a classroom isn't exactly the English you're going to hear when you actually encounter native speakers. 😂 That's why comedy about language differences is so much fun. Even when two people technically understand the same language, there are still endless opportunities for complete chaos.
