Marietta's

I made Marietta's for the 2026 Boston 48 Hour Film Project. We get 48 hours from the moment we get the assignment to the time we need to upload the finished film, which must be 4-7 minutes long. A split second over the deadline and we aren't eligible for prizes. My story is set on the Sliema waterfront (Malta), in a café that has been a tradition for 50 years. But now an American filmmaker decides she needs to make a film about it. She's willing to pay serious money. Will Marietta (the owner) risk the friendly neighborhood vibe to make it big?
