Food Review: Fiya

A restaurant review that started as an interview!! I drove the Chef to work and then did a food review. They've been a Chef for a while but just started at Fiya. I'm curious to see what they do with the restaurant I was there on the weekend so they had a brunch menu as well as their main. I definitely butchered a name or three. For Brunch I got the French Toast which was dipped in orange blossom, with rasberries, hazelnuts and mint. The citrust really came through in a subble way adding brightness to the flavor and crunch of the french toast. There is this subtle sweetness in the french toast that let the rest of the ensamble speak out. The syrup was not a standard maple. I really enjoyed it. I then got a Lamb Burger. It was so so so so good. I broke down what is in the burger they really packed a lot of flavor into this burger. It was juicy, flavorful and I made an absolute mess eating it. I kept saying middle eastern when I meant mediteranean. I'm offended. I'm totally craving this burger again Check it out!!!
