John 1:43-51 (for Nathanael) #19

Before going north to Galilee, the Lord Jesus gathers a few more disciples. Philip tries to get Nathanael to join in, but Nathanael is skeptical. However, after a few words from Jesus, words that seem ordinary to us, Nathanael makes an astounding proclamation: "You are the Son of God, You are the King of Israel!" We do not understand why the Lord's apparently ordinary words to Nathanael affected him so powerfully.
