Where the Mercy Flows - Based on the Lord's Prayer

In Matthew 6, Jesus sat with His disciples and gave us a pattern for prayer — not a ritual, but a conversation. A way to come before God with honesty, humility and trust. He began with "Our Father"; Holy, Sovereign, Present. A God whose name is set apart above every name, whose kingdom is coming and cannot be stopped, whose will is perfect even when ours falls short. He taught us to ask ; not for abundance, but for enough. Daily bread. Daily dependence. A reminder that every sunrise is a gift we did not earn and cannot manufacture on our own. He taught us to forgive; and to receive forgiveness. Not as a transaction but as a flow. The mercy we have been given is the same mercy we are called to release toward others. One cannot be held while the other is withheld. He taught us to ask for protection; from temptation, from the paths that lead away from life, from the enemy who waits in the dark places. Not in our own strength but in His. And across two thousand years the Church has responded with a declaration that belongs to Him alone - Yours is the kingdom. Yours is the power. Yours is the glory. Forever. (1 Chronicles 29:11) This song is reimagined from that prayer. Every verse rooted in what He taught. Every chorus a response from the heart. If you have ever felt the weight of what you cannot carry alone; this was written for that moment. Because Jesus Himself said it best - "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. My yoke is easy and my burden is light." (Matthew 11:28-30). You were never meant to carry it alone. Hands open. Heart surrendered. He is faithful. May you be blessed with this song.
