A song on the humility of Christ, drawn from Luke 19 - the King who stopped for one man, chose a borrowed colt, and wept over the city that would reject Him.
The world has always measured power by how high a person can climb. We look for strength that pushes to the front, takes the best seat and makes sure it is noticed. When God came to us, He did the opposite of all of it.
This song walks one road in Luke 19. He stopped for a man nobody in the crowd thought worth stopping for. He chose an unbroken young colt when every earthly king would have chosen a warhorse. He wept over a city that was about to reject Him, and He went in anyway, knowing exactly what it would cost Him.
None of that was weakness. He was never less for a moment of it. He held back what was always His and He did it on purpose, for us.
That is why the Scriptures can say that because He went so low, God has raised Him to the highest name there is. The One who took the servant's place is the One who is coming back as King. The True KING of kings. We will see Him again and we will be singing when He comes.
Scripture: Luke 19:1–10, 29–40, 41–42; Luke 14:7–11; Zechariah 9:9–10; Philippians 2:5–11; Colossians 1:18; Galatians 3:13; Revelation 19:11–16.
