IETA LIVE Carbon Markets - Inside the UNIDROIT Principles on Verified Carbon Credits

A UNIDROIT Working Group has been developing Principles on the Legal Nature of Verified Carbon Credits, setting out how VCCs should be treated in private law across creation, transfer, registries, custody, security and insolvency. The draft Principles are currently open for consultation. This session walks through what's in them, how the Working Group developed them, and where the process goes from here.
