Globally and individually, many of us are carrying a lot right now. Sometimes it can feel as though we're all trying to find our way back to something — or even parts of ourselves we've lost along the way. At the same time, we witness others who are literally displaced, searching for safety, belonging, and a place to call home. This song became a reminder that, in an ideal world, we don't have to carry everything alone. That even in difficult times, there is still kindness, compassion, and hope. That no one deserves to feel lost or misplaced. I’m honoured to be joined on this recording by two incredible musicians and humans: Craig Newman on bass and Felix Wolter on drums. Also honoured to have the wonderful and talented Bruno Ellingham mixing this like the master he is. For anyone who has ever needed a lifeline — this song is for you.
