Meet Framecast — the native Mac live-streaming and recording studio I'm building to make running a show easier for solo creators. The goal: spend more time talking to your audience and less time managing scenes, layouts and visuals.

In this livestream, I share how Framecast evolved: exploring tools and open source, building a manual studio, adding recording and streaming, bringing in browser guests, and developing a rundown that follows the speaker and an AI director that helps run the show.
What makes Framecast useful:
• Landscape (16:9) and portrait (9:16) canvases in one studio, with recording and streaming workflows for both.
• Camera, screen sharing, scenes, layouts and overlays under your control.
• Browser-based guests who can join through an invitation link.
• A voice-following rundown and optional AI direction to bring up relevant visuals and help with scene changes while you present.
• Claude-assisted show preparation for outlines, cards and motion graphics, with manual control available when you need it.
Built natively for macOS with Swift and SwiftUI, Framecast brings these pieces into a workflow designed around how I actually create. The core app has no Framecast account or subscription requirement; optional AI services and remote guest hosting use your own accounts and may have separate costs.
This is a hands-on look at a product in active development: the build journey, the workflow, and the ideas behind making live production more manageable for one person.
